The Background and History of Boyer Flight Park Boyer Flight Park was built and developed by Bob and Gayle Boyer Bob Boyer was very active in light aviation. His vision was to develop a flight park for ultralights and light planes. Boyer Flight Park was the result. He loved to fly both Ultralight Fixed Wing planes as well as Powered Parachutes, and offered instruction in both types of aircraft at his facility. He was instructor, coach, and encouraged excellence in flying.
We lost Bob to lung cancer during the summer of 2001. Through the efforts of Gayle, daughter Jamie Musall, and son Jimmie Boyer, the flight park was kept open and operating. Bob High came to Boyer Flight Park as a student, learning to fly in the Quicksilver that Bob used to instruct in. Bob and Gayle began a relationship that resulted in their marriage several years later. Bob went on to become a Basic Flight Instructor. Jamie Musall learned to fly her father's Buckeye powered parachute and became a Basic Flight Instructor herself. The flight park is a reflection of the love that the Boyer family has for light aviation and especially the people who participate in this sport. Bob Boyer was particularly fond of Red-tailed Hawks and when we see one of these beautiful birds around the flight park we are reminded of the contribution Bob made to light aviation and know that he still keeps a careful eye on us.
